Join us for a weekend in the stunning Gressoney Valley and ascend some of the most impressive frozen waterfalls and ice formations in the area, all under the watchful eye of our IFMGA guides. You will be taught and supervised the entire time by the guides who will teach you everything you need to know, including all the essential safety and ice-climbing techniques. All technical equipment is included so you can make the most of this amazing adventure. |
Welcome to Gressoney!
Shortly after arriving you will check in to the accommodation.
We’ll do an initial briefing to go over the plan and aims of the weekend. There will be an opportunity for questions followed by free time and dinner.
You will have breakfast at 7.30am, followed by all day ice climbing activity (8 hours, including breaks and transfer) with packed lunch.
This will start with an introduction to the activity and to hazard evaluation and risk management at the climbing venue. A strong base of skills will be developed so you will be able to use the top rope belay system efficiently and understand the use of personal ice climbing equipment.
Breakfast at 7.30am, followed by ice climbing activity (6 hours, including breaks) with packed lunch.
This second day of ice climbing will build on the knowledge and experience of the first day, learning more about the equipment and techniques used in ice climbing.
