| Located within Val d'Aosta, the smallest region of Italy, the Gressoney Valley is a narrow corridor that packs true Italian character. It is scattered with small villages and hamlets, the most notable of these being Gressoney Saint Jean and Gressoney la Trinité.
Despite its size, the area is a popular destination due to the many opportunities for outdoor activities, whether it be the winter or summer, and on this adventure you won’t need to choose! Over the week, you will experience some of the best winter activities Gressoney has to offer: Skiing/snowboarding Ski touring* Ice climbing Snowshoeing *Ski touring can be replaced with a second day of on-piste skiing or snowboarding depending on your experience level. |
Welcome to Gressoney!
You will arrive in Gressoney, your base for the week.
Once you have settled in, we’ll do an initial briefing to go over the plan and aims of the week.
Ski/Snowboard On Piste
You'll head to the hire shop and get kitted out with your ski/snowboard gear before heading to the slopes for the day.
Once the slopes close, you’ll give back your kit and head back to the accommodation for some rest.
Ski Touring (or second day on-piste)
As on Day 2, you'll head to the hire shop and get kitted out with your ski touring gear before heading off up the mountain.
Depending on your experience level, this activity may be replaced by a second day of on-piste adventuring.
Once the slopes close, you’ll give back your kit and head back to the accommodation for some rest.
Ice Climbing
As on the previous days, we'll head to the shop after breakfast to collect our kit.
We'll then head to the ice formations for a full day of climbing.
Snowshoeing
After breakfast you'll don your snow shoes and take to the trails.
Departure
After breakfast you'll check out of your accommodation and head back home, hopefully with some amazing memories.
